Nairobi Shaba National Reserve for a range of activities lake Nakuru Masai Mara accommodation in a tented camp varied game viewing and chance of seeing the ‘Big Five’. this Nairobi Safari provides a comfortable standard of luxury accommodation in Luxury camps and lodges, including stylish tents in the Masai Mara. Day 1: Nairobi to Shaba

Head north after an early breakfast, pass near Thika and continue through some breathtaking scenery. After Nanyuki town, you’ll continue north, eventually reaching a dusty outpost known as Isiolo. From here it’s a fairly short hop to the Sarova Shaba Lodge, for your night stay, in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive.

Shaba game reserve is a semi desert with a rugged hilly terrain, with great rocky kopjes (small isolated hills) and lots of springs supporting the abundant wildlife. The specialties that can only be found in this part of the world are the gravy zebra, the Somali ostrich, generuk and the reticulated giraffe and gazelles the lesser kudu leopard and plenty of lion and herds of elephants and plenty of bird life and other small game.

Day 2: Shaba

Early morning game drive followed by breakfast. Time to relax at the lodge before an afternoon game drive.

Day 3: Shaba - Lake Nakuru:

Travel south from crossing the northernmost foothills of mount Kenya. Here you’ll head west to Nyahururu, still known to many as Thomson’s falls for its 237 foot cascade. Continue south to lake Nakuru lodge. Once in the park, there will be a game drive en-route to the lodge. Following lunch, there is an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge for sunset.

Day 6 Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara

After an early morning breakfast leave the flamingo fringed lake Nakuru for Njoro town, where you begin your ascent up over the top of the Mau Escarpment. You’ll travel across the “breadbasket” of Kenya, covered with acres of wheat and barley, before you reach the Sarova Mara Camp. For two nights, in time for lunch. Following lunch there is an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge for sunset

Day 7 Masai Mara

Early morning and afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara. Hot air balloon flights at extra cost,

Day 8 Masai Mara - Nairobi

After breakfast, departure the Masai Mara for Nairobi, arriving around midday.
