Driftwood Beach Club - Malindi
Driftwood Beach Club is a small friendly hotel
with an informal atmosphere and stunning views of
the Kenyan coast. This Malindi hotel is located
right on the beach and overlooks the beautiful blue
waters of the Indian Ocean. The Driftwood has a
charm all of its own, as it is small and privately
owned, the attention to individual detail and care
has always been maintained.
The Driftwood Beach Club lies 3kms South of
Malindi on Silversands Beach, 5 km from Malindi
Airport and 120 km from Mombasa.

Driftwood offers accommodation for 70 guests and
has three accommodation options to choose from:
- Villa Accommodation: Named after
islands in the Lamu archipelago on Kenya's north
coast - Pate, Kiwayu and Shela are the three
exclusive villas at the Driftwood Club. Each
villa has two large air-conditioned, en-suite
bedrooms with large mosquito nets, spacious
sitting room and a small kitchenette. Each one
overlooks the private pool and each villa has a
seating/sunbathing area immediately in front of
it.
- Cottage Accommodation: Each
individual thatched (makuti) roof cottage is
nestled in beautiful tropical gardens set
amongst the palm trees and have verandahs which
gives you a chance to relax in peace and quiet
and is perfect for an evening sundowner.
Cottages at the Driftwood Beach Club are all
air-conditioned, en-suite with a large mosquito
net surrounding the bed and have safety deposit
boxes. No two cottages are alike and all are
equally charming.
- Superior Cottage Accommodation:
Driftwood Beach Club has two luxury superior
cottages, Manda and Lamu, (taking their names
from islands in the Lamu archipelago). Each
cottage has two spacious rooms, air-conditioned
and en-suite. Every room is furnished with
spacious mosquito nets. Each luxury cottage has
a lounge, bar, fridge and verandah overlooking
the private swimming pool. Set in their own
tropical garden only seconds away from the
beach, these luxury cottages are perfect for
increased privacy and seclusion.

- A restaurant offering a wide variety of
dishes, from the most mouth-watering selection
of fresh seafood to a tender char grilled steak
cooked to perfection. During the day we offer a
delicious snack menu at the bar and poolside.
