25-acre coconut plantation stands 15 thatched villas
made from mangrove poles and palm leaves.

Kipungani Explorer Lodge accommodates guest in 14
spacious and secluded chalets sitting above the soft
white sands of Kipungani Bay, The chalets are fitted
with en-suite bathrooms having showers and flush
loos as well as king-size bed (with mosquito
netting) . Furniture is locally made from local
materials such as mangrove wood and palm.
Additionally the chalets have a beach-facing veranda
with cozy chairs from where you can sit and enjoy a
sun-downer. The large interiors are a picture of
rustic simplicity, where the chalets are constructed
entirely from local materials, with mkeka matting
floors and makuti thatch roofs woven by the
residents of neighboring Kipungani Village.

furnished for complete relaxation, with large
driftwood furniture, hanging moon-beds, and a
variety of natural discoveries ‘combed’ from the
shore.
The dining room sits in a small tropical garden,

selection of novels, magazines and board games.
Dining at Kipungani is in a class of its own, with
most succulent prawns, crabs and lobsters plucked
